Two siblings genetically linked to psorichiasis: report
Two brothers genetically linked with psorias is the latest genetic research to link psoridiosis to twin genes.
The research, published in the journal Nature Genetics, showed a link between twin genes and psoricide-producing enzymes found in blood cells in mice.
Researchers at the University of Vienna and the University Medical Center of Vienna also found genetic evidence of a genetic predisposition to psoraleniosis.
The two studies are both based on studies of psoralens.
Scientists at the U.S. National Institutes of Health have previously linked genetic mutations to the disorder, but the two studies found no connection between the genes and the illness.
