How to buy and use a pcos genomics kit
Genetic testing kit that allows you to see the genes of a dog, cat, or hamster, along with how it reacts to its environment and health can save your dog, your cat, your hamster and your life, says a new study.
The study published online Wednesday in the journal PLOS Genetics found that dogs and cats that had a kit with a DNA marker from a dog or cat were 10 percent less likely to have skin cancer compared to those that did not.
It also found that the kit saved at least two percent of dog and cat deaths that could have been prevented by a similar genetic testing test.
The kit was designed by a small company called The Genealogy Company and the results were obtained by researchers at Johns Hopkins University.
The DNA marker, which can be purchased for $39.99 from Amazon, contains information on a specific gene and the gene’s frequency in a particular breed, the researchers say.
Dogs with a gene from a black lab coat and a dog with a black Labrador or a gray lab coat were more likely to die from skin cancer, whereas dogs from a white lab coat or a black dog were less likely, according to the study.
Dogs that had the black lab or black Labrador gene were more than three times more likely than those that had not to die of skin cancer.
But the gene marker also appeared to be associated with an increased risk of skin cancers in humans.
The researchers analyzed data from more than 30,000 DNA samples from the genome of more than 2,500 people, and found that a person with a white Labrador gene was 3.8 times more than one with a dog lab coat.
